We left Toutle River RV Park headed for Morton. We got about half way there and got stopped by the State Patrol they didn't like the idea of towing the jeep behind the fifthwheel. We showed him all our papers the CDL with tripples endorsement the paper work from the big wigs in Olympia that said if we were licensed comercial we were legal and we are anyway he said it would be a good idea to unhook so we did.
We got to Morton and decided to stay a week and go to our friend Harrisons seventy birthday party and leave on Sunday this was Labor Day Week-end. About mid week we discovered our refrigerator had quit working and it took until Monday to get it fixed. About fourteen hundred dollars later. It is fixed and working good but the guy in Randle who did it broke both handles on the door and did not tell us. We called them and they replaced them.
We left Morton Tuesday morn and went over white pass. We were scheduled to be in Chanute Kansas on the 21st of Sept. for some repairs on our coach we got there a few days early and they had a opening and took us two day early on a Thursday. We picked it up a week later on Friday Morning.
We had quite a bit of Dry Rot to get fixed . We decided to get it repaired instead of going for a new one . We are glad that we did after looking at the new ones we like ours.
Marve and Ethel Horton met us in Chanute and stayed a couple of nights it was good to see friends. We hope to see them again this winter in the Rio Grand Valley.
We left chanute on Saturday went to their festival on the way out, and drove to ElDorado springs Missouri. Which is where we are now. Nice little Passport America Park for seven dollars and fifty cents a night. They had a tornado go threw here and wipe everything out two years ago that is a little scarry but no one go hurt.
From here we are going to Clinton Missouri to a bluegrass festival Bills sister and husband are going to be there too. There son OJ McNew is going to play in the festival we are looking foreward to it. We drove over there this afternoon and the camp area is already filling up.
Don't know where we are going after that but we are leaning twards Kentucky.
It is already cooling off here in the evenings .
We hooked the jeep up in Morton and towed it all the way to Chanute
On the week we were homeless we went to Branson and seen Colin Raye he was good. Wasn't any one else we wanted to see so we went to Doniphan and visited with Sister Ethel for a couple of days was hoping she would get to come to the festival in Clinton but don't look like she will make it.
